Obedience Training and Manners Classes
Looking for obedience training in a fun environment with certified trainers? You’ve come to the right place! Whether your dog won’t come when called, pulls on leash, or struggles with impulse control, we have a class for that.
We use positive reinforcement training methods–like clicker training–to teach your dog that when they offer a behavior that you want, great things happen.
We have classes at both our North Austin and South Austin locations, so choose whichever one is most convenient for you!
Group training classes can help you and your dog with training…

I've been working with Every Dog for nearly a year now and couldn't recommend this team enough!
Olive started in the Basic Manners class when she was ~6 months old and progressed to 1:1 training as we focused on some skills in preparation for her to become a therapy dog here in Austin.
Excited to share that Olive passed the Canine Good Citizen test last week!
I credit Every Dog with her success and am just so grateful to have found a fun place with such effective and caring trainers to bond with my dog.

When should I start my dog in classes?
Anytime! Puppies under 6 months will typically start in puppy classes, but pups 6+ months can join our adult classes! Older dogs can learn, too!!
What will my dog learn in class?
Manners classes will cover skills like Sit, Down, Place, Leave It, Drop It, Leash Walking, Recalls, Stay, and Wait.
We'll also help dogs learn to train even among distractions!
What if my dog is reactive to other dogs?
Group classes may not be the right fit for your pup! Reach out to us about private training first.
Which class is right for my dog?
We generally recommend starting dogs in the Basic Manners class.
Do you use prong collars, shock collars, or choke collars?
No. We don't find that they're useful, and they can negatively impact our training plans. But if you've been using one, don't panic- you're not alone, and we're still happy to help you find solutions that work.
Are vaccinations required for class?
All dogs must have vaccinations commensurate with their age in order to attend class, and not show signs of coughing, sneezing, vomiting, etc before class. (Note: puppies must be at least 7 days past their first round of vaccinations. This is according to recommendations from the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviorists, AVSAB.)
